Ferreras-Copeland is out; open race in 21st


With City Councilwoman Julissa Ferreras-Copeland waving goodbye to her office at the end of the year, the race is on to replace her. Contenders for the seat as of now are transportation activist Cristina Furlong, Assemblyman Francisco Moya, in blue plaid suit, and Hiram Monserrate, who held the position years ago, before his election to the state Senate and subsequent expulsion over an assault conviction.
