Jarret Freeman is the 2016 Republican Nominee for New York State Senate (District 14). Jarret is also the executive liaison at College and Community Fellowship and a Representative to the United Nations for Pathways to Peace.
A passionate community activist born and raised in the community he’s running in, Jarret bases the motivation of his campaign on inclusivity, increasing community participation in local politics, and, above all, prioritizing the public interest.
Jarret’s deepest skills lay in international policy, institutional reform, strategic planning and the Russian Far East. In 2012, Jarret attended the 6th International Ecological Forum where he was not only the youngest representative, but the official representative of the United States Government.
Jarret currently serves as Chairman for Christ Nation Church and the The Virgin Diary, Vice Chairman for Camp Joharie, a Board Member for The Russian American Chamber of Commerce in the USA, an affiliate board member for the Iowa State University Cyclone Wrestling Club and a board member for the International Committee for Peace and Reconciliation where he previously served as the organization’s Representative to the United Nations.
Jarret is the the last of five children, has a twin brother, twin sisters and a middle brother. Jarret’s parents instilled in him the value and importance of education. Though his father never went to college, his mother halted her education so that she could focus and ensure that all of her children went to school before she would go back and finish. Jarret’s mother graduated from Queens College in 2013 with a BA.
Jarret holds a B.A. from City University of New York, Hunter College, speaks Russian and resides in New York City.
